November 5, 2009 6:57 PM PST How does Apple or Microsoft - figure in this?
An award like this is based on actual acchievement - Steve Jobs career from the first Apple in 1976-1977 to date has been continuously at the leading edge of that part of the computer revolution where he found himself working. The only other equally long tenure of continuous innovation is probably held by Seymour Cray. Gene Amdahl too had a long innings.
Who else has innovated so successfully and for so long?
Good on you Mr. Jobs - it is a pleasure to see you get the recognition you have earned by bringing so much pleasure and delight to millions :)) Reply to this comment by DragonWizard November 5, 2009 7:17 PM PST Here we go with the Mac vs PC crap.. Why does every story about anything to do with computers end up with a bunch of people flamin' each other... Mac ...PC who cares.. Use what you like but at least find another thing to cry about.. This thing makes me sick.. You mention Steve Jobs or anyone microsoft and you get this same old tired sh*t flingin' dialogue from both sides.. I guess their is plenty of stupidity for both sides of this junk... you guys should get a life and quit makin' it your lifes desire to make someone else look like an idiot because they use a different brand of computing.... what a really silly thing to make others have to listen to... You all sound like a bunch of grammar school kids.. GROW UP or get off this site.. We people, who like something intelligent to think about find you all to be most embarrassing. I guess you just can't see how absolutely ridiculous you appear to anyone with an IQ over 100... Every one of these stories always has some idiot trying to be funny and saying something they think is cute or ingenious but just sounds immature at best.. Go hang out on UTube or somewhere they appreciate ignorance as an art form... Reply to this comment
