But with another nine Ferrari's at home, Evans won't have to resort to taking a cab just yet.
Asked why Evans was selling the car, Owen Rothwell, marketing manager of HR Owen Sports Cars, said: 'He has got nine other Ferraris so he might need the garage space if he's thinking of getting into something else.'
And another one: Chris gets behind the wheel of a yellow version of his favourite car last week
In May 2008 Evans paid a reported 5.6 million for a 1961 250GT short-wheelbase California Spyder that once belonged to Hollywood actor James Coburn.
Only 55 of the cars were ever built.
But despite his love of Ferraris, Evans isn't always the best driver of them.
'I wrote off a 550 Maranello doing 25mph on a Sunday morning,' he told the Mail recently.
'I blipped the throttle, the back end went out and I did three 360s from one lane across the other, went through a fence and ended up in a field. If anything had been coming the other way, I would have been toast. To write off a Ferrari at 25mph is pretty difficult, but I did it.'
