The 2009 F1 season is undoubtedly one of the most exciting we've seen in years, with normally dominant teams such as Ferrari and McLaren nowhere to be seen, while Brawn GP, formerly Honda, wins one race after another. Aside from Jenson Button's brilliant, smooth driving, it's the design and performance of Ross Brawn's F1 car that has led it to perform so well for the Frome Flyer and his team-mate Rubens Barrichello. The Brawn GP car's controversial and much-criticised rear diffuser (which was cleared by the FIA, despite complaints made by other teams) is just one example of why the the team's car has been so dominant during its first season in the sport. While not everyone will be in agreement, for us, these latest developments in F1 are always great news, because every now and then F1 technologies/design can transfer over into the world of everyday motoring. Just look at the Caparo T1 (pictured) or the Ferrari FXX track-only car as examples of how great F1-inspired cars can be. To further underline this point, we've picked out some of the best examples of when F1 has influenced the world of motoring. Thanks to diseno-art.com for the top tips and pics
