It was another disappointing weekend for Jenson Button - what is going wrong at Brawn?
The most interesting development in Hungary was Brawn's frank admission that it was not the lack of track temperature in their tyres that was hampering their performance. Ross Brawn has now admitted the team has taken a "wrong turn" in their development of the car.
Somewhere along the way, in attempting to improve the car, they have altered something that has taken them back to the point where the car is not performing as it did earlier in the season and it is now a race against time to work out why that has happened.
Do you think they can address the problem in time to preserve Button's lead at the top of the standings?
Ross Brawn is one of the most brilliant technical minds in the sport, so if anyone can turn this around it is him. He has described this as a process of "working back" over the changes they have made to the front wing, the rear wing, to the aerodynamics, going back over a myriad of alterations they will have made in order to improve what they already have.
But in doing that they have unwittingly taken what was a fast car and turned it into a slower one, which has been caught up and now overtaken by the Red Bulls. What this highlights is just how delicate and sensitive these cars are.
As far as Jenson's world championship hopes go, they are more uncertain than ever despite his 18.5 point lead. I would expect the car to start to show signs of improvement in Valencia in three weeks' time, but I would be extremely surprised if they went back to winning races the way they did at the start of the season.
I think they will have to be content with picking up podium places and finishing high in the points and just hope that is enough to see them through to the end of the season.
In contrast, it was a superb weekend for Lewis Hamilton. How have McLaren turned it around?
In many ways what has happened at McLaren has been a mirror image of the events at Brawn. There is no secret behind McLaren's revival, it has just been a case of sheer hard work and dogged determination. It is pretty unusual for a team to start off with such a slow car and make it into a fast one in the space of a season, but that is what McLaren have done.
The changes they have made allowed Lewis to take full advantage as he did so brilliantly over the weekend. He has shown again that given the right car he is a world class performer.
What will Hamilton's aims be for the rest of the season?
Lewis is very realistic and knows that despite their recent revival, McLaren's fortunes are still on a knife-edge. He is hopeful the team can maintain this level of performance until the end of the season, which may allow him to get back on the podium more consistently and even pick up a few race wins.
His performance could yet have a bearing on Jenson Button's hopes of winning the world title, especially if he and Heikki Kovalainen can take points off the Red Bulls.
