It seems that nearly every auto company has some plans for a hybrid car. Lamborghini and Ferrari apparently could unveil new hybrid concepts so could Land Rover. Now McLaren’s post for a ‘Senior Engineer for Powertrain Hybrid Technology’ on their official website has given rise to lots of speculations.
Could there be a hybrid supercar from McLaren? The company is giving cagey answers as an anonymous spokesperson from the company spoke with motoring news website Auto Car and gave this statement:
“It (hybrid technology) is something we want as a forward-thinking, technology-driven company. We have been considering it for future projects. All the advert means is that we are looking for a senior engineer in powertrain hybrid technology. Read into it what you will.”The advertisement on the McLaren site for the senior engineer basically states that they are looking out for someone who can lead the technical assessment and integration but also the application of appropriate hybrid powertrain technology.
