Jenson Button jetted to a fantastic fourth win in five grand prix this 2009 Formula One season.Courtesy of Brawn GP It was a smashing start to the Spanish Grand Prix as four F1 cars were taken out in a Lap One, Turn One awkward cock-up. In the end, Jenson Button continued to dominate the 2009 Formula One season as the Briton won the Spanish Grand Prix with a two stop strategy (soft-soft-hard tires) that was driven to perfection!
For Button, this is his fourth win of the 2009 season – fifth in his career. Three of the four wins this season have come from Pole. Of the nine times that an F1 driver has won the first four of five races, he has gone on to win the championship everytime.
For Brawn GP, it is their fourth Grand prix win in five races in just five races of existence and their second 1-2 finish of the year – The team also swept 1-2 at the Australian Grand Prix.
Championship points leader Button said of his day, "Wahoo! This is fantastic. Great going! Thanks for the great strategy. Sorry to Rubens, it was another great 1-2 for us!"
